🫘 WHAT ARE GLOMERULAR DISEASES?

Your kidneys contain millions of tiny filters called glomeruli. These filters help remove waste and excess fluid while keeping important proteins in your blood.

When the glomeruli become inflamed or damaged, protein or blood may leak into the urine, and kidney function can decline.

🔎 Possible warning signs include:
• Foamy urine
• Blood in the urine
• Swelling around the eyes, face or legs
• High blood pressure
• Abnormal kidney-function tests

Some glomerular diseases include IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, membranous nephropathy and other immune-related kidney conditions.

⚠️ These conditions can sometimes cause few symptoms initially. Urine tests and blood tests can help detect kidney problems early.

💚 If you notice persistent foamy urine, blood in your urine or unexplained swelling, seek medical assessment. The cause needs proper evaluation—these symptoms do not always mean glomerular disease.
